BestBuy: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I don't understand... If you pre-ordered and it didn't tell you it was backordered THEN, I don't see why those wouldn't just show up on time.... They should know the alloted numbers.

I pre-ordered an unlocked 512GB on my Verizon account through a sales person at my local best buy.... There was nothing that made me aware of any backorder.

The salesperson told me today that they have not heard of any backups and I should still expect my phone to be available for pickup on Friday.

Mine has shipped...AT&T. Says delivery tomorrow. Probably coming from Dallas.

Looks like a replay of last year, after all the drama, they shipped and many got them the day before or on the release date.

128's are not a problem, but the apparent almost equal percent of 512's preordered is. Expect significant delays for some. Best Buy told me they had plenty to cover, but turns out were referring to 128GB. I will treat it as a pleasant surprise, if I get a scheduling call Thursday for my Verizon Blue 512.

FWIW, the mix expected for 512 was apparently 10%. Question is if that's the reps guessing, or a legit plan used for preorders.

They we're a problem for a little bit, at least with best buy. Best buy refused to give any information and it's own employees know little to nothing. It's only today that I finally got confirmation that my order was even acknowleged besides paying the sales tax

Best buy is always like this. It's a pain, but you saved $100.

Just got back from a Best Buy in SC. Lady there told me they had two 512s in the back for the preorders that have been made thus far. Going again tomorrow to determine whether or not I’m going to cancel my online preorder to have one I can pick up. As we’ve seen, plenty of 128s, hardly any 512s. May end up downsizing just to get the phone this weekend. Still nothing on my online preorder. Just says “pre-ordered” and nothing else - no preparing, or anything like that.

No they come through a backroom system and us warehouse employees scan them and they get a sticker with the pickup persons name. So they probably come through based on the date and time you preordered.

Normally for preorders the system starts putting them through the day before the release date. So tomorrow they should start going through and getting their stickers

I pre-ordered it at 9: 30 on the 10th. I went with the 512 GB ocean blue for Verizon to BestBuy and it is in the pre-ordered stage

Is anyone else having issues with BestBuy and fraud alert? Yesterday I got up and got a message that my card wasn't going through. So I used a different card. It was flagged too. I called both banks cleared it up and the payment has been stuck in Authorization pending for over 24 hours now! Through BestBuy it says preparing to ship

They put a hold on the money and it probably won't process until you receive the device.
