My BB Rep told me that they had a shipment of 512s coming in from Verizon over the weekend and he told me that I would have my device this week. Currently it is in the in progress stage.

I asked about that and they said the promo trade in rates are locked in from when I pre-ordered...

I'm hoping that's the thruth.

Except by the time your phone comes in your trade-in will probably be worth less. A lot of them dropped in value specifically on Friday.

Mid-October is about the edge of what I'm willing to wait out. But from what some of the folks earlier in this thread have been saying, October may not even be enough to meet demand since the resupply is being manufactured at the same ratios as the original supply (IE way under on the 512s).

They actually stayed the same value through bestbuy. Samsung direct was the ones to tremendously drop the trade values. Hopefully the ones ordering the unlocked are able to take advantage of the trade in promo.

Trust me... A manager at Best Buy will be making up ANY difference in value if it comes to it because of the delay. That's the least they can do

Unlocked blue 512GB is now showing as shipping by August 29th on the BB website.

I just got a shipment confirmation from BB on my unlocked 512GB in blue. 10:30 EST.

By my UPS tracking info, my purple 512 shipped Friday and should be here tomorrow. The least they could have done was ship it next day, but I guess I should be thankful it has at least shipped at this point.

I ordered as soon as the preorder went live. The phone system actually shows my order as being from the 9th instead of the 10th it was so early lol.

Glad to hear the 512's are shipping for you guys. Sorry you've had to wait a few etra days The 512 seems to be well worth it though I've got the 128 but 512 is beastly, and it has 8 gb ram instead of 6, correct?

From my understanding the Blue 512 GBs were pretty much on backorder status from the 10th onward. Lavender 512GBs were not quite as highly demanded but demand may still have outstripped supply, particularly with Verizon, as it sounds like few if any 512GB models shipped from Verizon to Best Buy on Friday. If you're getting 128GB models I don't think there are any problems there? Or at least not that I've heard of.

I didn't order until the 20th (Blue 512GB from Verizon). If Verizon's website is anything to go off of, the earliest we might see our phones is Mid-October (since Verizon is likely to fulfill their own direct orders before they'll fill Best Buy's). But really nobody knows for sure at this point. Or if they do, they're not saying.

Did it come in? One of the BBs where I live has a Samsung rep on site. He said not sure how they could tell you that, since the carrier phones are not part of Best Buy's POS system, that has inventory and inbound info. BB only has store delivery info for unlocked phones. Verizon as example has the info for what retailers are getting, as far as launch phones.

Good though if you got one, but seems perhaps based on a good assumption by the BB rep

Yeah, mine's not very optimistic either. They at least admitted that they have no idea when they're getting any Ocean Blue 512GBs from Verizon. They still play the "Could be on any truck this week!" game but they admit it could just as easily be a couple months or more before I see my phone. They also seem to be getting a lot of flak over it.
