Better to get DX or DX2?

Ive heard some bad opinions about this DX2 as far as lagging and freesing up. Is this phone even worth getting over orig DX?

I dont game on it so I assume the dual core wont matter much.

Suggestions?

Get the X2. Best for your money with out having to deal with 4g monthly add on. Once gingerbread comes out for X2 all if any problems will be fixed.

I have had both the X1 and not X2 and like the X2 better. Plus it wont be outdated for a while minus the 4G.

X2 will be more future proof than the X, I am certain the X2 will see Ice Cream Sandwich.

Long term X2. Short term X1.

X2 will be easier to upgrade with its dual core. But to be honest its not all that fast due to the OS restrictions

I had the X, upgraded to X2. No, it is not remarkably faster and in most cases no difference whatsoever.
I would like to believe that the upgrade to Gbread or Ice Cream will make a big difference.
Until then, they are fundamentally the same phone.

I am very new to the whole droid thing... got an X2 about a week ago (had a bb for a few years lol). When is the expected or talked about updates/upgrades to Gbread or Ice Cream supposed to be?

when they come they come. rumored dates come and go.
gingerbread hopefully by the end of 3rd quarter but most likely by the end of the year

Smoother video capture when writing to an SD card than DX2

DX2 Pros:
Tegra2 performance
HDMI mirroring
Faster camera response
Louder earpiece/speaker volume
4Gb internal user storage partition
"Better screen" (higher resolution, brighter backlight, betterr blacks)
DX2 is more likely to see a future update to Ice Cream than DX
720p video recording has a max of 30fps (vs 24fps on DX)
DX2 has anti-glare coating on screen
