Any insight on Verzon, tiered family data plans. I have 5 smartphones on the family plan, all paying 29.99 each for unlimited data, but we only use less than 2 gig of data combined. Thats about $150 a month for less than 2 gigs of data. I would love for them to come out with family shared data plans, I believe I could save some $$$$$. :)

It would be nice but doubt that it will ever be an option. My wife and mother-in-law only use facebook app and an occasional google search. I really don't need to worry about it -- for now anyway -- since im on Sprint.

Holy crap less than 2 gbs for 5 phones? Verizon will allow you to share data, however you wont be able get a plan for less than $30 a month.

I have to ask, does everyone in your family use the phone for things besides email, because verizon has an email option without getting a data plan....

New customers will be subject to the following prices: 2GB for $30/month, 5GB for $50/month, and 10GB for $80/month

We could have surmised that the change would happen on July 7th, as that's when Family Plan customers will be able to share their data packages
