Actually the bionic has been delayed. At CES Motorola announced that a phone called the Droid Bionic would be released sometime in Q2. Q2 is over and there is no Droid Bionic available. Motorola never announced an Etna or a Targa, they only announced a Droid Bionic. They announced it for Q2 and subsequently said it won't be available until Q3. That is the definition of delay.
Sure, to the average consumer the Bionic was delayed.. Except that, up until Verizon put up the Bionic sign up page, the average consumer never even knew it existed. Actually, they probably still don't. All this talk about delaying the Bionic hurting Moto is baseless since the majority of the people who are going to buy it don't know it's going to be released in the next few months. Once they start marketing it a lot of consumers are going to see the main selling points: Dual-core, upgraded camera, 1GB ram, Webtop (yes, this is an enhancement to oblivious consumers whether useful or not), LTE, etc... I think it's going to sell.
