I believe it will fair much better than the tb the bionic has hardware waiting for the software the tb is about as good as its going to get. So yes I believe I would be able to hold onto a bionic for a year and be cool. Just want to see what its going to be like With 2.4. But I can't buy it until Motorola rethinks this bootloader issue. I don't want blur touchwiz or any oem skin on my phone I prefer stock Android and by that I mean cm

Sorry I?m causing you so much frustration. I?ve only been asking people for more information to educate myself on these things as I am coming from a non-android phone (Palm Pre.)
I?ve stated multiple times what I?m trying to do here. I?ve admitted that the bionic looks like a good phone and I?ve never once degraded it, it?s specs or anyone that has said they want to get one. I don?t know what else I can say.
If you want to discuss its merits/features/downsides with me here, that?s cool. I?d appreciate it. If you just want to read only threads where people talk about how they hate their current phone and can?t wait for this one to come out, then I?m fine with you ?being out,? there?s plenty of those threads around here for you already.

CyanogenMod is nowhere near 'Stock Android'. It adds enough things to be considered a skin in it's own right. A very good one, but it's not Vanilla Android by any means.
You will be able to load a Blurless ROM on your Bionic and get the stock experience, but a true stock Android experience is a lot more barebones than CM.
In graydarrah's defense, it's not often anyone does such a critical analysis of their choices, usually there are clear deciding factors that sway someone towards one choice, and then they may have a few questions, that aren't quite as analytical. Or at least, that's what I've gleaned from my time browsing Android forums. It looks a little bit troll-ey at first glance. I like to give people the benefit of doubt first though.
Still, I hope that if you have anymore questions, you will continue asking, someone here will have an answer.
Quick question, would a higher resolution screen suck up more battery, and if so is it significantly more?
I thought the locked bootloader it's (probably) going to have meant no rooting, ROMs or kernels.

I don?t know the specifics of it, but from the little I've read, locked stuff on the phones is similar to locked doors on houses. A good deterrent, but not an absolute defense from keeping people out.
Add to that the fact that this phone will likely have a good deal of motivated individuals trying to ?get inside??

A locked bootloader only means no custom ROMs that modify the kernel. Rooting can be done regardless. And there are custom ROMs out there for Moto's other locked bootloader phones such as the DX. But, nothing that touches the actual kernel.
