Bionic pulled from shelves due to not reaching fulfillment

I wish Motorola at this point would just come out with whatever is going on and put and end to the speculation.

Droid life is reporting it's not due to low stock levels...yikes.

Everything is speculation at this point. Another Android news site posted about Bionics being pulled, and was greeted by this from Verizon.

"We received an Email from a Verizon representative (a pretty nasty one at that) stating this is not true and Verizon is not pulling the Droid Bionic off store shelves. All we can say is this, if that?s true, then great. What?s not great is how the representative ?represented? Big Red. More to come?"

I helped. I exchanged mine 3 times already....

Wish they would even return mine ONCE. Took into Costco where I bought it, they wouldn't exchange say I have to go through VZW. VZW wouldn't do anything (yet) other than note my account because they couldn't replicate the issues (BSOD, headphone whine, and beyond BSOD mine had on 3 occasions now been on at one point, then goes to sleep and won't turn on or power up at all without pulling the battery). Seriously...how can they NOT hear the headphone whine??? Its pretty obvious...unless of course when you "take it into the back room to test it" you really aren't doing anything anyway....

I was told you can accomplish it by surrounding your words with ~ ~ those things. Like...
~My phone isn't the newest phone anymore?!? Moto and VZW are the devil!!~
On another forum I frequent, sarcasm is indicated by red font. Works well.

This whole thing is a bunch of crap, I was in Radio Shack today where I know the manager. I asked him about the Bionic and the fact that they (Motorola) can't supply enough, he then takes me in the back and shows me stacks and stacks of them (maybe 2 dozen). He stated to me they were told that it was pulled till the $100 off any smart phone sale is over. I guess Radio Shack was loosing there a@*s on the sale... I know nothing about Verizon or Best Buy pulling them from the shelves, but I physically saw them, he just couldn't sell me one!

Agreed. I've had the 4G/3G issue but it has improved daily and no other issues whatsoever. I run this puppy hard and it's a great device.

I love message board mania. Anyone who can cut and paste text from the Internet thinks that makes it the truth.I've seen half the quotes in this thread on other Android Sites...

Its already been clarified that this was at Radio Shack's only. Dont think it was ever stated as to why they did it, but it wasnt a VZW pull.

Whoops, accidental post. I am glad to hear the truth though that it was just radio shack. This really is a good phone. I should try and dig up some of the old storm 2 or storm 1 threads. Now those were phones with real problems.

~waaaa i bought a 2010 Dodge Challenger and then Dodge did the UNTHINKABLE!! they Built one with a bigger motor without ever getting the OK from me or even sending me a letter.. I want them to exchange it because i am all BUTT HURT~

Added the ~ and made it red just in case!!

Guess what my brother had a similar incident. He got an early 09 dodge cummins. A couple months later next model came out. He goes in to talk to them about it and he comes home with a new one. They offered him 4500 in accesories to keep his truck or he pay tax title and doc fees on the new one.
PS. He got a red one. LOL

What an interesting turn of topics. Must mean the frenzy over Bionic vs. Razr is slowing down. I've had my Bionic for a month or so and, so far, it's extremely impressive and I wouldn't trade it in for anything comparable. I don't see Vz backing off on ads for it, either. It's a parallel device. Remember, at this moment, there aren't all that many 4G high level smartphones on the market. And 4G is where it's going. Whole new level - like going from analog to digital to 3G. Now, add 4G/LTE to that.

Yes. As the dust clears from all the RAZR hype, everyone who has the BIONIC will realize how great of a phone they stuck with...

Just my two cents!
