Bionic's still coming, is defintely new hardware - XT875

So what if the revisions are to make an unlockable bootloader. Moto announced that they will still start moving that way with their new phones after they asked all those people on facebook. That's what I think might happen but that's just my two cents.

I would have agreed with you before the CES Bionic was cancelled. However, they are going to weigh this handset down with WebTopBloat. It will be locked.

webtop is awesome. Paying for it is a joke.

If I can just get a tidbit of news soon then that would possibly give me enough reason to hold off on getting the Charge. Hurry info, hurry!!!

At the rate things are going with the Charge release, the Bionic may beat it or come out at the same time.:D Question IF the reason the Charge is not being released is because of a 4G problem, won't is also delay the Bionic?

Agggh. We'll probably be left waiting for a while. VZ probably doesn't want to undercut the Charge by announcing a better product just around the corner :(

I wouldn't put it past a 4G problem, but if that were the case they wouldn't sell the Thunderbolt either would they?

So aside from the Thunderbolt, Charge, Bionic and LG phones, are there any other Verizon 4G phones on the horizon?

Depends on the issue. If it's a network problem, then it may. If it's a hardware problem (as has been rumored to be the case with the Bionic's initial hardware), then one shouldn't have any impact on the other.

None that have been officially announced (or even rumored AFAIK).

Bummer, hopefully the Motorola model is good because the Thunderbolt and Charge have been so so and the specs on the LG are not that impressive.

If only the iPhone could do 4G and simultaneous voice & data :(

Yeah, coming out of CES, the Bionic stole the show as far as hardware. It was to be the first dual-core LTE phone on Verizon (and may still be). I would assume that there will be more LTE phones releasing at the end of the year, but I haven't heard of any. All of the new, rumored phones are only 3G, including the Droid X2 and Droid 3, and even the Galaxy S2 as currently designed.

I heard that the 4G problem is just for tethering not for using the phone for Downloads and other use. While using it as a hotspot it drops from 4G to 3G back and forth and stay in 3G. I believe the The Bionic/Targa will be out way before the the GS2. I Think we will not see GS2 until the 4G at around Christmas time if not 1stQ Next Year...
