You have missed one critical detail of the picture that proves beyond all doubt that the flyer picture is that of the Bionic: The front facing camera.

The Droid 3, due to the sliding mechanism, has the FFC on the far right hand corner on the top of the handset. The new Bionic has it on the left side, level with the earpiece and closer to the center-line of the handset.

Sorry bud. I know crow doesn't taste good, but I've got a fork and knife for you if that will make it better.

Wonder if he likes his crow baked or BBQ'd. I even put comparison photos up of the leaked bionic photos and the D3 (That are up on the VZW website as of today) and they are pretty much the same form factor other than the opposite FFC and slider. Internals is a different story but thats not the topic.

After comparing the two, is it me or does the bionicle seem pretty thin? Looking at the volume buttons, it appears to be a little thinner than the droid X. Assuming the buttons are the same size as the X.

Got a thunderbolt for free...in fact RIM paid me $60 to go get a thunderbolt ;-)

I have to say that i love it. Got sick of waiting for HTC and VZW so i rooted it and threw on the Das BAMF Sense 3 ROM. Couldn't be more pleased.

Now if the bionic isn't locked down and i can get $300 for the bolt I may pony up and grab one. But seeing how easy it was to throw on a new ROM I am confident that i can easily get through a year or two on the 'Bolt. The ability to do that is worth far more than I thought before I got this device.

Also if you waited this long just keep in mind that the Bionic is still a gen 1 LTE device. So that will mean some issues (battery, signal, etc.). Not sure how far out gen 2 LTE stuff is but I do know they have newer modems in testing now. So 2012 LTE devices will probably be significantly better.

Still the Bionic will be sweet I think. I just hope it is not locked down.

Heh! I was not referring to the resent Flyer pic. I was in doubt that the Blurry pics earlier in these nightmare threads of purgatory were of the Bionc, and even said then because it has a lip it looked more like it may be the D3. So now a Best Buy flyer shows up with no lip! Get it?
So........... if the Bionic has no lower lip as in the BLURRY pics, I do not eat crow. But I still do not consider the Best Buy flyer a fat lady singing, warming up maybe, but not singing.

You asked what I was looking at, It Was This. And yet this blurry pic has the camera port going the wrong way to be the final D3.

I have gone on record doubting the Flyer pic but stood corrected in a reply. I do have an eyebrow raised, but am not saying anything. Just waiting on the fat lady with a NE2 & Discount burning a hole in my pocket..

lips are on both BB pics and leaked pics.

Your eyes are tricking you. There is no lip in the blurry pics. All you're seeing is a screen inlay. Unless phones are being produced with edgeless glass

I'm just watin on the Fat Lady to sing the Bionic.

Umm its the same as the BB flyer. its not Really as a pronounced lip as you think, more the person taking the picture really screwed the pooch on their shooting angle (im a semi-pro photographer and saw that right off the bat they shot from a bad 45 degree angle favoring the bottom, not a straight on shot). Not to mention the FFC matches the BB flyer not the D3, I do see that the bottom rounds down a little from flush but it is not that drastic. Click on my link and your link and look in comparison to the pictures.......I might just put some salt and pepper on that crow for you :)

Besides we are all just having a little fun in the momentum that is rising from getting close to release, not really harrassing LOL geesh.

Agree the pics look nothing like the droid 3. The droid 3 doesnt have a lip the bionic clearly does idk what this guy is looking at to think the droid 3 and these pics look the same:eek:

there is a lip. check out vzw site for the droid 3. There is no lip on the droid 3 that is the bottom slide part. The screen ends with the silver lining. Maybe you think they are the same because they have the verizon logo? because thats about the only thing that looks similar on the bottom of the phone.
 
Does the lip on the Bionic look shiny brown to anyone?

I hope so cause i dont want an all black bionic.
