I said a while back a 4.5" screen on the Bionic will be a win for Moto. If it pans out I give props to them. They need to get something epic out the door and a nice big screen is a VERY good call.

I agree and played with an infuse and if moto made it close to the thinness of that then it wont be bad at all. I feel if they can get a bigger screen without dramatically increasing the overall phone size I have no problem with it.

I feel as though if it's qHD (which imo it will be) then pentilation (new word?) will be worse and pixel density will be too.

This is true but I don't see Moto dropping a screen in the Bionic that looks worse than their current offering. They will bump up the rez I'd be willing to bet, if not then I will have to wait and see before passing judgement

I'm sure it'll be fine. I don't think Moto would release this phone if the screen looked that bad. I'm also in the camp that doesn't mind the pentile screens. I looked at the Droid 3 today and found nothing wrong with the screen. The new Blur was also pretty good. I also think the 4.5" screen will be a win too. It will help differentiate itself from the other LTE phones with not only it's dual core processor, but it's bigger screen too.

I said a while back [in a somewhat joking fashion] that it will be 720p. It would be incredible if they snuck this in on us!!!

Its just one more small change to put the Bionic in a different class. I think 4.5 inches will be the limit for using a phone comfortably with one hand. If it pans out, im glad to see the Bionic has this option.

Most likey not. The ratio would still be thrown off because the vertical amount would also have to increase proportionately. Unless the extra 100 on the horizontal were permanently reserved for software buttons. If you ask me, I think it would look rediculous to have a vertical column reserved for software buttons when the phone is in portrait.

Not possible unless all of the pictures of the device are fake. A 960x640 device would not have an aspect ratio close to 16:9.

Well everything right now is a rumor so I wouldn't say its not possible nobody knows what moto will do.

I went to my local Verizon store to mess around with the D3!!! Man this thing was fast and so smooth no lag at all. the 3d effect looked Great! Boy I want the Bionic more now then I ever did!!! Omap4 makes this one powerful phone!! When you click to go to the App draw it moves horizontally... Blur is much better but there is a lot of bloatware on it for Verizon!! Come on Verizon please release the Bionic early. I think I needed a bib I was slobbering so much over the D3. The guy tried to talk me into getting the D3. I told him I am waiting on the Bionic!!! He said he was too!!!
