I agree with Huskerkate. I believe the OMAP (4460 is my assumption) is going to be snappier than what we see on the X2. I am looking forward to testing this theory, the Droid 3 may give us a better feel for what we can expect from the Bionic. But again the Bionic may be better yet than the Droid 3.

Why doesn't Moto or Verizon offer their devices unlocked and unsigned for an extra charge? That would be easy money. Say like $50

Okay, there are a couple things I still don't understand. The Atrix is powered by a 1930 mAh battery and has a 4" screen, so why would the Bionic's 4.3-4.5" screen dictate using a smaller battery than what was originally anticipated? I know there isn't confirmation on the battery yet but I just don't understand.

Also, dual flash vs. single flash. Can someone help me out here. My OG Droid is Dual Flash and is spectacular, the CES Bionic had Dual Flash, the new pictures show single flash... Why?

I was one who loved the CES Bionic form factor, the front screen seemed practical and didn't have a bunch of unused real estate. Now we have the Targa Bionic with the Lip on the bottom that serves what purpose? it isn't because of a bigger battery... what gives???

Lol, okay... Well I can not argue with that. Its the most logical explanation I have been given yet. BUTTTT....... I still 98% believe that we are looking at the Bionic. I actually started marinading your crow last night, so It should be very tender when we get confirmation...

no. if rumor holds true, the Targa/Bionic will now have OMAP, not Tegra; and, will be 1.2 (or maybe 1.5) ghz, and not 1.0. also, Targa is supposed to have ddr2 ram - not sure about the Photon.

this is just my take, but it looks like Moto is taking the original Bionic (that we saw at CES) and releasing it on Sprint as the Photon. and, the phone that was called the Bionic, and destined for VZW, certainly appears to have been replaced by the Targa, that was already in development for release on VZW in Q3.

Thing is Husker I don't know if the TI OMAP can save it. Something is up on a deeper level I believe. Perhaps it's Motorola's proprietary files? Thats my best guess...

I hope that's the issue. The more time I spend here the more I'm leaning toward the SGS2.

i'm going to give the GS2 a hard look, that's for sure. but, i'm still optimistic that Moto will resolve all of the issues that plagued the Bionic, and release the Targa/Bionic revved up and ready to roll!

MotoBlur lags. It's just how it is. The more of their widgets and crap you put on there, the more it slows down.

What I would give for another stock Moto device...

there you go, peeing in my Cheerios again! you may very well be right. i will continue to be optimistic - but, i'm not a blind sheep. given the history of the Bionic, NO WAY am i buying it immediately upon release. i'm definitely gonna sit back and read and listen to the people who buy the Bionic and GS2, test them out myself, and then go from there... i just want the Bionic to be the beast that has been promised. if not, i may just end up like you, and keep my D1 for 3 or 4 years... lol

Even if its called the Fascinate 2 doesnt mean that it will get Bing. It's my understanding that the agreement between Verizon and Microsoft has ended. And even if it does have Bing, it can be easily removed.
