yes that was my experience.

I went into a verizon store back then to test out the Xoom, and thought man this thing looks nice, after using it i glanced over at the galaxy tab 7, and said WTF, how did this older model tablet make the xoom look so ugly.

Right now, I think my comparisons will be between the Photon, Bionic and Samsung S2 and two carriers. And, surprisingly, maybe even the new unnamed LG in Sprint's ID could prove interesting considering it might possibly have a physical keyboard.

When kellex did his whole video comparing the DX2 with the nexus, and said notice how much better the nexus looks, i was like no it doesnt. The colors were different yes, but whos to say which color is the acurate one?

Maybe something was lost in the video translation but based on that it seemed like he hated the pentile so much that he was pointing out flaws that werent really there

Ok im done with this.
 
Sharon that LG B (whatever it will be clled) is going to be bad arse. If carrier were not an issue I'd go with Sprint and choose either the SGII or the LG. What a match-up that is!!

We shall see what we shall see, eh? (plug in the irony) lol But, hey, what are you doing here still? Didn't you essentially eliminate the Bionic and decide on the SG!!? I could swear I've seen you write that several times. Anyway, I'll be interested in all the reviews as well. LG doesn't have as much of a track record with Androids yet. And I'm not going to be an early, early adopter this time. I want to see what issues crop up with all...at least a month wait depending upon the cost of staying or moving.

Sprint actually comes in better in my home and there's wimax throughout my general journey area in CT. Plus, it's so much cheaper than Verizon.

Speaking of which, does anyone recall specifically what the early termination charges are for Verizon? I made sure to get in on the OG Droid before they upped the first big fee from something like $175 to $325, but forgot how they prorate thereafter.

Oh because I'm no longer buying the Bionic I can't talk about it? lol. I see how it is :)

I just love talking about tech and these subjects (processors, displays etc etc) interest me. It's fun....

As for tech talk. Yeah, I know. People think I'm weird, too. ;)

Agreed we should probably move on but I found this site with some interesting info. It is the Pen Tile people giving the other side of the story: Smartphones | PenTile Blog

Of course they will be biased but I thought it was interesting.

However, we should probably not keep beating this issue to death, at least not until more of us get the chance to actually see and use the Motorola qHD displays and we can get a better idea just how many people think they are good or they suck. While I do value the opinion of those that have seen them - you may simply be in the small percentage of people who are extremely sensitive to it. Hey, maybe you have exceptional eyesight or your brains run at a slightly higher frequency, lol.

Hey, I have a 720p panasonic plasma with excellent PQ and I have friends who have 1080p tv's with horrible PQ, color bleed, imaging artifacts and they are like "isn't it awesome, it's 1080p".. Sure I can see pixels on mine at 5ft or less, but I don't watch it from 5ft or less.

When more of us see these phones I am sure we will come to some sort of consensus .

I see the edges hes talking about, but i also see it on the other 2 phones.

Either way the DX2 screen looks wayyyyyy better than the DX screen, so i doubt itll bother me at all.

That whole Pentile thing does not matter to me as long as the screen looks good to me is all that matters. Who is going to look that close at their screen anyway unless you are almost blind. As long as I got Dual Core and LTE I will be a happy camper....

I really need to stop looking at pictures of the Photon 4G. The more I look at it the more ticked off I get about the new Targa/Bionic we are getting. I know, I know, Several of you could care less what the phone looks like "as long as its got the specs" but I just really liked the CES form waaaaay better than this new thing that looks cobbled together. Yes, Cobbled Together!

I like Symmetry and the Photon 4G just seems well thought out. Chamfered corners, radiused top and bottom, not a lot of unused front real estate, when you hold the phone in Landscape it just looks like it was designed to fit in your hands.

The Targa/Bionic Just looks like they needed to fit a bunch of crap inside a phone and didn't care what it looked like, gave it no thought. What purpose does the bottom useless lip serve?

Okay I am done complaining...
