Black one doesn't stand up well to everyday use.

Fake speaker holes? I believe that's a dummy unit, so not the same quality as a real phone.

That could explain why the op is using a grainy picture.

...if the keys and other hazards where in a seperate area, how did happen? I've seen a black HTC one be mauled with keys, in person, and the scratches just rubbed right out. These look like chips and dings, not scratches, ie she has to have dropped her phone. There is a difference in finish flaking or scratching off, and chunks of the phone being missing.

Hm. This post sounds fake after reading everything.. The picture is horrible for no reason and the speakers do look fake.

Go to the ATT store and try to throw the dummy unit in your purse or pocket with your keys and see how that works out for you.

When I saw the iPhone 5 in black I knew that thing would look rough after a few months, HTC's wouldn't be any different.

OP may be a provacateur. He has not posted one since his original, and he happens to own an S4...

Why is everybody replying with "omg put a case on it"? For one it's been said a dozen times already and two the op wasn't even complaining about the wear and tear just saying that the black shows dings and scratches similar to an iPhone. If they had complained about how their phone looked that would be one thing but they didn't. Are people that hypersensitive? I don't get all the aggression, there wasn't anything negative said about the phone.

I KNEW IT! Something just looks off, even with the grainy pics. You could make an argument that the second shot looks like it could be real, but the third shot absolutely shows the painted "holes". Excellent catch.

I just noticed, too, that the back arrow button doesn't extend past the speaker grille in the photo. That's not how the device actually looks. Unless it's fake, of course.

Sprint as far as I know.

Sent from Ravenholm.

From what I understand the Black One became available a few days ago, online or telesales via Sprint, the corporate stores do not have the Black One.

It's a demo phone. Her husband is a manager at sprint. It even had some kind of silver stickers on the back with a bar code and a bunch of numbers.
