Black Version?

I ordered mine through WalMart Wireless yesterday (I upgraded an AT&T line) and selected FedEx 2 day shipping. I placed the order at 11am EDT and it shipped yesterday and as of this morning FedEx shows an expected delivery date of tomorrow. I read about a couple others in the XDA developers forums who pre-ordered their black HTC Ones directly with AT&T a while back, but for most of us, myself included, we never had any luck calling 611 and placing an order for Stealth Black. Supposedly May 10th is the official AT&T launch but it still seems like not everyone at AT&T has gotten that memo. I decided to go with Waldemort because I couldn't resist their price of $148.

UPDATE:

So apparently the AT&T store got a shipment in today, after I went in there at lunch. I was finally able to get a hold of someone at the store, they held one for me and I picked it up after work. They only had the 32GB, but to be honest, 64GB was overdoing it. I absolutely love the black. It is MUCH better than the silver and white. What the hell were they thinking there?? That white will discolor over time, especially if you don't keep it in a case. Now all the fun of setting this thing up again. It took me a week to get it set up the way I liked it. Oh well, first world problems.

I called AT&T customer service again, after many people were saying they had bought one and they were online at Wal-Mart. She said stores have different inventory than online/phone sales, and that they'll likely never get the black. Stores should be getting them this week. Good luck.

No, I just chose to keep my existing voice and data plans. I did call AT&T before the launch date to confirm that I'd be able to keep my unlimited data plan if I upgraded to an LTE device and they said I would continue to be grandfathered in.

Now the 32 and 64GB versions are both available online through AT&T.

I just picked up my black 32gb version (only one they had) from at&t today. I'm happy! I'm glad I held out!
