Has anyone seen this same image in a blue color? (just the middle part).

No, but I'd sure love if someone could find one. That would be awesome looking.

That would almost certainly have to be made in photoshop, since that's an official "Droid" marketing image, which I've always seen in only red.

This is the best that I could do:

I could definitely give it a shot when I get home. Shouldn't be too difficult at all.

tsells - What did you use to do it?

I assume if someone has Photoshop, they will probably already know, but basically in any image editor, you could try to just keep adjusting the RED color and push it toward the BLUE end and mess with the colors until you get just the red to be blue, instead of just essentially just converting it to Black/White and then slapping a Blue layer over it.

And I thank you. But here is what I get when I try to use it, even after cropping. What am I doing wrong?

Try this one. I changed the resolution to 720 X 1280:

I can just click "ok".

I am not familiar with the Droid Maxx so maybe someone who has this device can "chime" in.
I believe that the last pic posted is the correct Droid Maxx resolution (720 X 1280).

It's probably because you are using TapaTalk to "grab" the image. (But I'm not sure.)
Try emailing the image to yourself and then save in your phone's gallery.
Then set as wallpaper.

Voila!

Save the image on here by holding your finger on it and hit save.

Download static live wallpaper from the play store. When u set the picture its "portrait size" and does not shift when u scroll thru the screens.. And it looks a lot cleaner.

I use static to keep the background pic still, and it doesn't enlarge it at all
