I hoped that the upgrade would fix BT choppy reception...It's hard to believe but it is actually worse...totally garbled. I use it to link to my home phone and to a headset when I'm in the car. Both are horrible.

Only question is, do I swap this for a replacement or try to talk my way into an S3???

another question, can I back up the whole phone? Where does the auto backup go in google.? All I see is phone book and calendar.

Are you sure it's not your hardware?

I'm not an expert..of course. I have to conclude it is the hardware if all the updates don't help and different BT devices are ng. I hate to start all over w/all the $%$&# I have installed. I could try a factory reset myself....but same result..have to start all over.

I'd try to get a replacement if that fails. And after that, you set yourself up nicely to have them swap for a new/different model.

Samkatz did you ever try the trick of flashing the older 4.0.4 radios? It had good success for those who had BT issues that only started following the 4.0.4 update.

it seems some phones hardware don't play nice with any post imm76k radios... these same folks had had no benefits from the jelly radios but the initial leaked 4.0.4 radios were said to do well with signal and are the latest radios that did not cause bt issues for them... (you probably already knew all this but just in case)
