Bluetooth Challenges

On my Moto G5s plus, I continue to have Bluetooth issues.

The latest is trying to pair some Anker SoundBuds Slim+

Even when the phone is in pairing mode--as are the buds--the phone doesn't recognize them.

I was then able to pair the earbuds with my Kindle with no difficulty.

Also, my Moto pairs only intermittently with my Fitbit Alta HR. And sometimes the connection with my 2017 Camry speaker system is spotty.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion and instructions.

Turning on Safe Mode didn't help. Still no Bluetooth recognition of the earbuds, even though my Kindle recognized them with no problem.

Just to be clear: the way to scan for a Bluetooth device from the Moto G5s Plus is to turn Bluetooth off, and then turn it back on, right? The Kindle has an actual "Bluetooth scan" function but I don't see anything like this on the Moto.

Thanks,

Bob

It ought to automatically detect. In the Bluetooth menu, tap the Menu button at the upper right -- is there an option for Scan or Refresh?

When you're trying to pair the earbuds, they're not currently paired and connected to some other nearby device, are they? If they're already connected to another device, I don't think they'll show up on the phone.

Yes, there is an option for refresh and I have used it to no avail.

I think I'll just order and try another pair of Bluetooth earbuds and if I can't get them to connect, I'll post again.

Thx

Not sure if you were able to find the BT scan function but its located in the location menu - three dots - scanning - bluetooth scanning. Since turning bot of these off both the wifi and bt connectivity has improved..
