Anyone else having a problem with Bluetooth connecting in your car? I just purchased my Verizon Nexus this morning. I turned on Bluetooth on the device and it can never find the bluetooth in my car. Tried everything. Bluetooth worked great on my Fascinate but cannot get it to find my car on the NExus.

Thanks,

Rick

I am having a similar issue. Did not have this problem with my iPhone. When I initially pair the phone it works without a problem. I use it to play Pandora to the car radio. However, whenever i turn the car off and the bluetooth disconnects, whenever i turn the car back on it will not connect. The car tells me to check my device bluetooth settings. The only way to get the Nexus to connect to the car again is unpair the device and repair it. Hopefully someone can shed some light on our problem.

I can't even get the phone to pair with the car audio. It doesn't see any bluetooth devices when it scans.

OK. Problem is solved. For whatever reason with the Nexus you must manually start the pairing process from the car (2009 Mazda Miata). Once you do that then the phone pairs up fine. Never had to do this with the Fascinate. THe car automatically saw a new phone and offered to pair it up.

Yes, having an issue with my car being able to access the Nexus phone book. Either getting no entries, or just a small portion of my phone book being available ... and voice recognition is terrible.

There must be something up with the BT profiles ..

Works fine in my Prius. Sorry you guys are having problems.

Which Prius do you have? I have a Prius as well and it is giving me problems. However in my Ford it works the way it should. Maybe its specific to my Prius...

Mine is a 2006. Sorry you're having problems, I hope you get it fixed soon.

When I had an iPhone 4S for a week it worked horribly with the Bluetooth in my car.

I'm having a BT problem with my 2010 Prius. The Nexus paired just fine and shows in the settings that it is setup for phone and media. However, the BT only works with phone. It shows a connection with both phone and media, but does not detect any audio. Pairing with this car worked fine with my Droid Charge and Nexus S.

Worked fine with Ford F150 with SYNC in the morning. Then in the evening I could not get anything to go through SYNC. No music, phone, etc etc. Then I realized I had my old X with me and that pairing was over riding the GN pairing :-[

My problem isn't so much with my car, but i have an Asus bluetooth adapter in my PC and a pair of Motorola Bluetooth s10-HD Headphones and they connect but no sound comes from them, volumes are all up and it shows them connected and paired. hrmmm....

I have a 4+ year old Pioneer Bluetooth head unit and I connected it this morning when I was on my way to get my car worked on and it connected with no issues whatsoever. I didn't play anything through it at the time, but I'll do that later and let everyone know if I have any issues.

It took me a couple tried. My car showed up but for some reason didn't like the code I was entering. Entered it a couple time but eventually took.

Glad some of you guys have had some success.

Anyone successfully get the phone to work with a Nissan/Infiniti car?

I had my old droid w/ CM7 working beautifully. The Nexus connects and pairs appropriately, and I can use it for voice (send/receive calls) but it will NOT transfer the phonebook correctly. The phone seems to send a random assortment of my phone book contacts to the car but far less than the total of the book.

I do get the "do you want to share your phonebook" message and always allow that.

I've tried stopping the google PB service (suggested in other threads) but that didn't change anything - and the phone just restarts the service anyway.

This is a really frustrating bug, given that it worked just fine on an old-as-dirt phone. Anyone have any luck or tips they could recommend?

:mad:same here, sees my fiscon unit in my VW but will not pair, just says error. similarly, wife's 2009 RAV4, sees it, asks for pin code, i supply it, and it just keeps asking for it again. crap

Have you guys tried rebooting your GN yet since 4.0.2 update? I also suffered the similar issue with my Bluetooth head unit on my first day. After rebooting, it magically disappeared. :D

Thats how I had to do it :/

I'm having issues but pretty sure it is the Ford Sync in the Mustang.

Paired just find. Didn't download all of my contacts, but I think that has somethign to do with how I put them on the phone.

And text is not supported...hopefully they fix that.

Same issue. I have a Flexsmart X2 AND a Motorola T505 and everything pairs correctly but it is as if the BT does not send volume to the car radio playing music. BT phone calls function fine. Strange.:-\
