Bottom Button Light Leak?

Are you guys referring to the light leaking out between the buttons and the screen or the buttons and the bottom of the phone?

A'men to the speed here at Cincinnati... wow

i will be at Fields ertel this afternoon turning mine back in. Menu an dHome key only partialy light up..

I was at the Princeton Pike store last night but will be going to the Fields Ertl store tomorrow morning to play around with the Bolt a little more.

This is with all TBs. The screen is not 100% flush with the plastic bottom. Stop returning phones over minor issues. Live with it. Its not breaking anything. FYI Mine has this issue (if it really can be called an issue) as well and so does all the ones in the store. Deal with it.

Are most people having this problem? Mine has a very small gap below the back arrow but not bad enough that i will return it. Just curious if this issue is happening on everyones device.

I did not notice this until I noticed this thread. You can only see mine when its very dark and its only one very small spot.. If it gets worse I may exchange it.

No this is not with all T-Bolts. My first one had this so I returned it for another, which did NOT have this, however had a big old dead pixel in the center of the screen, so I exchanged that only to have a big piece of dust under the screen of the 3rd one, the 4th also had a few pieces of dust under the screen, the 5th was the same thing.. All 4 of the other ones did NOT have the leaking light issue the first had, but had issues of their own.

Its TOTAL BS on HTC's part that I went through 5 T-Bolts every one of them with problems that should not be there and I have YET to get one without any of atlease one of those 3 big problems.

Anyone who values there $250 should NOT settle for anything but a perfect T-Bolt.. Is that so hard to ask for? Btw I stopped by best buy after work and they said they opened a couple more after I left and had problems with dust, dead pixels on both of them.. So they obviously got a bad batch..

I am going to another best buy on my day off Monday to exchange my current one and hopefully FINALLY get a T-Bolt with no dead pixels, screen leakage or dust under the screen. It is TOTAL BS IMO.. The guys I talked to at best buy agreed 100% and said theyd feel the same way, would do what I did if they were in my shoes.. They sent a couple letters to verizon and best buys corporate headquarters letting them know of this problem.. I am thinking of calling both verizon and best buy to let them know of what I have had to go through and see if they can do anything about this, like a gift card or something because this is beyond stupid. I have NEVER EVER had any problems with any previous phones, from droids, to iphones none have any problems like this :(

wow this is ridiculous so what are they doing, just replicating the same old phones smh..I have dim lights and a little light leakage I just am afraid to return it because it may get worse.. With your Evo did dust get in it from the light leakage?

i have leaker from an angle if you look down into the phone from around the home button and search button. and then 2 small dots at the bottom at the end of the screen and the plastic. does every phone have this?

Mine is the exact same. I would never have noticed if I didn't go looking for it.

Ya just let it be, I had the same problem and regret not just dealing with it. Now I have a whole new world of problems with dust under the screen on the ones we checked at best buy (and the one I have now) plus one had a dead pixel rite in the middle of the screen. I am hoping I can get one with NO dust or dead pixels and if the light leakage is there I will accept it. However I will say only the first one I had was an issue with light leakage, the other ones had none and the one I got now has hardly any.. So it's not a problem with all of them. Sigh, I really am considering contacting htc about all of this along with verizon. It's unacceptable imo. I have had Motorola and Apple phones none of them have had ANY of these issues for me or issues at all for that matter outside of Motorola having some software issues.

This is how mine look I had to actually angle it for it to show, just like you I would not have noticed if I did not go looking for it, here is a pic of the menu home and other keys dim and also the light leakage, the way I angled it make it look worse than it is, was going to take it back but after hearing all these problems mine is light work..I mean that literally smh lol

Im coming from Iphone 4 and besides me not being able to talk on AT&T network I had no problems with the build of the phone not even the antenna problem that a lot of people had, so this is a big issue for me but my son that has the Evo told me to accept it because his is light leakage also and I never noticed until now. My other son with the incredible is not so bad but it's also there. HTC she be ashamed smh.
