One day my phone black screened right in the middle of scrolling Twitter.
It was restarting before for a couple weeks occasionally when I would start up a demanding app (like a video game or something).

Now it won't boot.
I tried booting it in safe mode and factory resetting the phone, but it would not do it.

I can't even get into the factory reset screen again.

Based on your previous thread and this one, I'd guess it's a problem with the motherboard. LG has been notorious for bootloop issues, primarily with the G3, G4, and Nexus 5X, but I wouldn't be surprised if some G5 units were affected as well.

I agree with b.diddy , also did you buy the battery from a reputable place ?

Just put in my Original battery and it doesn't have the boot loop issue

I bought a Powerbear replacement battery from Amazon since my OEM one is swollen. It's actually bowing the back of the case and screen.

What LG G5 replacement battery is a good one?

I suppose that that is the issue, but my phone was doing weird things with both batteries. For example, I would open Brawl Stars or a web browser like Chrome and it would restart.

Thanks for the help so far

I was wondering this as well

Would you recommend removing all the components and ribbon cables and putting the motherboard in the oven to reflow any solder?
(I'd only do that as a last resort if my phone was dead)

You would have to know the right temp to try this at or you can end up destroying the phone
