brightness bar gone walkabouts

Since the latest update I've lost the brightness bar on the notifications drop down and have been greeted by S Finder and Quick Connect.

I've ticked and unticked the display option to show the brightness slider but it doesn't work. Nothing does!

Advice welcomed.

Have you tried to do a factory data reset?

Go to settings, then notification panel... Should be an option to show/hide brightness adjustment

If your battery is low it will dissapear. Try recharging the battery and see if it reappears.
