Brightness

I put my phone on low brightness probably like 15%. But today i noticed my screen was extra bright. I checked and saw it was on autobrightness? it's happened twice before which i thought maybe was a fluke and i changed it by accident or something. but 3 times is kind of hard to believe. are there any settings that i could've changed that inenvertantly changed my brightness back to auto?

I have the opposite issue. I keep it on auto and it randomly changes to a preset number. Happens almost daily.

Speaking of brightness ... does anyone else find it impossible to read the screen, regardless of brightness, outside on a bright sunny day? it is horrible in the sunlight.
