So ... I miss cards and ease of switching from one task to another. I'm learning but I haven't quite figured out browsing.
I like using a new window when launching links so I can easily get back to the point from which I started. However, after I've opened a link using a new window. How do I close it and get back to the original window?
Using back just pages back through current window and using home doesn't do it either. Is there a shortcut I am missing to close current browser window?
Any help would be appreciated. Still not 100% committed to keeping Epic, but the more I can figure our Pre-like equivalents the closer I get.
Thanks!

i just came from the Pre as well.... not quite sure what you are describing now though with the stock browser....

not to change the topic too much, but Dolphine Browser HD has tabbed website feature so easy to jump between opened pages and close them as well...

I'm running Dolphin HD right now, and can't remember if it was this way in the native browser or not also, but you can get to a sort of card view in Dolphin by the following:

1. Open Dolphin
2. Press Menu button (left of home)
3. Press "Toolbar" icon
4. Hold icon in upper right side that looks like staggered squares with a downward pointing arrow...after a moment it will turn to a "tab" looking icon, at which point you pull it down to the bottom of the screen, similar to your notifications window.
5. Here it shows what browser windows you have open. However, with Dolphin, I believe this is redundant due to the tabs across the top.

(btw, I'm coming from the Pre also, and soorely miss WebOS)

Tabbed pages may be my solution. i'll have to check into that browser.

For the stock browser I was wondering about how to navigate between multiple open windows.

Btw...SWYPE is one of THE coolest things on this phone, IMO

Wait...dolphin isn't free? I would like to explore a free option.

There has to be a way to do it in the native browser. Google! Here I come! Hahaha

Try xscope I believe its faster then dolphin hmake sure you read the tutorial or you'll miss out on a lot of features.

when you're in a browser and you want to look at another tab you need to hit the menu button (left most button) and options will come up at the bottom and click on "windows" and you can see other browsers you have open.

Dolphin Browser as well as Dolphin HD are both free in the market. They are ad supported but you van buy the license to get rid of them. You don't see the ads in browsing though.

EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank you. I need to remember to check that menu key when in something new.

While that works dolphin HD is just like using firefox for tabs and makes it much much easier then pulling up settings and windows. Try it out I see zero ads and its 100% free.
