Buyers Remorse. Anyone starting to get it?

Yes, currently have buyer's remorse.

My Pixel 2XL is being delivered Friday; however, 2 issues so far:

1) Customer service - So far not good.
I selected overnight shipping, they charged me overnight, but shipped ground. I contacted customer service twice and got the following:
  1. email - we show overnight shipping, so no refund (pretty close to verbatim but FedEx and the order on Google's own site show ground 3 day)
  2. Phone call - After 15 min hold to investigate customer service said "we see the error, but you aren't being charged overnight, but we're not sure so escalating to higher support". (my credit card charge disagrees and level 2 for a $18 charge?)

2) Screen - LG POLED panel doesn't appear to be great. Google is charging Note 8 prices, and I was "hoping" for S8 / Note 8 screen quality - all reviews clearly state that isn't the case.

Note 8 is $100 more. So, not Note 8 prices.

At the end of the day it's your the money. I cancelled because I found it unacceptable but I hope you enjoy it
My wife didn't even notice it. So that's a sign cause if it were bad.. She's the person to say it's bad.. Vivid was already selected on the device as well.

Coming from the iPhone 6s+ and how horrible the battery life is and how horrible iOS 11 is on it as well as doing the att next plan....rather just pay the phone off completely and hope it works accordingly. If not at least I have 14 days. On the flip side I can still sell my iPhone for ok money and switch to t-mobile and get some money!! I just hope the screen of the XL isn’t too bad. I played with it at the store and it seems fine to me.

? Note 8 is cheaper for my equivalent comparison. Plus there are tons of deals on the Note 8 and extra goodies.

Note 8 is $930 and the Pixel XL for 128gb is $949. The 64gb is a non starter since there is no microsd to cache music services or store photos and videos without have to constantly delete after Google photos backup.

Note 8 is 64 GB, same Pixel XL is $850. Free unlimited photo and video storage can go toe to toe with micro SD, especially with Google Play music allowing 50k songs for free.

1000 dollars is really not a lot of money for the average person these days. I think it just seems like a lot because it feels like the same money from when I was a kid.
Wow! That is a month's wages for average ordinary person in the UK. I think it is a huge amount for a phone

Well... I supposed to have my delivery date on oct 25-27 for regular pixel. Then I checked it today and now its Nov 27-Dec 2. In my frustration I cancelled it bc I cant wait that long..

Best Buy ordered and shipped same day 10/19/2017 regular pixel 2

Glad everyone is finally catching on. Google is ripping people off, this phone is weak and has no features. Fast updates? At the cost of every basic Android feature? No thanks.

A little, normal P2. No screen issues other than it being a little underwhelming, not the size or lower res it’s just a little bland. Already eyeing my S8+ in the draw but going to stick with it as I’m expecting the overall experience to day to day to outweigh the sum of its parts.

I think with all the screen hype that Google will give us an update for more color options

So you do or you don't have one? I thought you canceled.

Ah ok. Cool. I'm still waiting on my XL panda. Haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. I don't actually need it, my S8+ works fine.

Something to keep in mind...about spending $1K on any new flagship device...that you will use daily (well, IF you're making it a daily driver)......you're Using the device DAILY. Even if you use the Pixel 2 XL just until the Pixel 3 XL arrives, it should be a solid 350 - 370 days...which is around $3 a day (less to be specific), and even Less if you use the Pixel 2 XL for closer and closer to two years. A device/phone--that is also a music & movie player, camera, video recorder, portable game console, Ai gadget, personal [technological] statement, and communicative tool--in the realm of flagships is worth the money, as long as the overall experience is what YoU wanT. Most of us spend $2 a day on other things we don't need, or even that we do need, but don't use Daily [if to break down the cost day by day].

If you spent $1K on the Pixel 2 XL...just realize you have entered a different bracket in the device world. There is better hardware AND software choices to be made, and experienced--'tis what the future is for. For now, enjoy the $1K Pixel 2 XL...or return it, or cancel the order before the charge goes through...and choose another [most likely still expensive] device. 🤷🏾*♂️
