Buying and activating off contract

New phone just arrived with a paper that says not to turn it on till it's been activated by calling a phone number. That's different.

Yeah, when I first got mine, I tried to call from the Droid 4 to activate it; but because of the 4g sim card, you have to call from a different phone to activate it. I know, weird.

Strange indeed and would necessitate finding a friend's phone or a pay phone (good luck with that) if one had only the new phone.

Just missed ya Silverfang. I had a Droid 4 that I'm selling. It was in Like New condition.

Oh well. Hope you enjoy it. Looks like a nice phone. Get in before the crazy data plan changes get you!
