Cached Data Storage

Hey all!

Wondering if anyone knew exactly what this cached storage data is. It used up 500 MB odd my storage so I deleted it. Is that bad? Haven't noticed anything different about my S5. Except that it maybe running smoother. Somewhat familiar with cached data but didn't know if it's importance????? Screen shot below.

Nope, it's ok.

Don't know exactly what is in it but when my earpiece speaker stopped working clearing the cache fixed it. So much to learn.

Only if you think you need to, I have 1.5 GB of cache, it's what keeps my phone running awesome, quick and smooth. No lag. Don't ever worry about cache or ram (for the most part) people brag saying look, I have 1028 MB of ram, that will make your phone run SLOW not FAST. I probably have less than 200mb of RAM, I keep it as low as possible. Android works differently than other OS.
