camera glass protection

Probably twice a day I use a microfiber cloth to clean the back camera protector. It doesn't bother me too much and I have bad OCD. The little hole that WSD designed in the back camera screen protector ensures the main camera isn't covered. On the S20 Ultra at least. I'm assuming they disgned the Note 20 Ultra one the same way.

The camera protector is solid - no hole. That's my concern.

Thanks. I think I found another one for $1 less. Did you test camera samples with the flash, to see if you still get the flare/haze?

Ok, I have now tested it and unfortunately, I report that there is flare/haze with the protectors even with the cutout for the flash and laser. I think this is because the flash will refract on the edge of the cutout and transmit the brightness across the glass. The pictures with flash are more washed out starting from the area of where the flash is. Picture clarity is also degraded. As a result, I will not use these and may send them back.

I don't notice picture degradation when not using the flash - and even though I rarely use flash, it wouldn't make sense to have it on if for that one time I need flash and I have to put up with removing it at that time.

Because of this, I don't think the cut out around the flash helps. I really think the light from the flash bleeds into the edge of the glass and it brightens the whole glass. Sort of how fiber optics I'm guessing. I use the cameras too much to worry about degradation. Shame.

MAYBE if there was a protector where there are cutouts for both flash and cameras there would not be light bleeding from the flash since there is no glass in front of the camera for it to bleed through but since no one is making them, it's hard to know.

I guess I will have to consider the dbrand skin which for some reason is still not available yet. :(

My opinion....nothing should be in front of lenses, flash or any sensor.

Yeah, my sentiments too initially, but after seeing how big that hole was in my cases, I was compelled. Looks like I will leave it naked until something comes out, or the dbrand skin is out.

I have a dbrand camera skin on the way to me along with the matching Black Dragon back skin.

Oh, they are shipping? I didn't know.. I will place an order... Only problem is buying a $1.95 item and paying $5 shipping. LMAO maybe I should get a few of them.. or a skin that I don't think I'll use.

I'll get free shipping if I order 13 of them. LMAO

Yes they were on Pre order a couple of days ago but that's now changed.

I live in the Uk so have no option to import them this is why i also ordered the back skin to make the shipping costs worthwhile. ;)

I'm the same way... I don't use flash all the time, but even the little amount I may end up using it, I don't want to ruin the experience with the flare/haze. I was thinking it is similar to fiber optics too, that's the best way to describe it.

I have brand skins already reordered, and on the way. I should have them by Tuesday. I also have SlickWraps on the way, but I haven't received any shipping info on them yet.

Get the grip case with it

Is anyone familiar with the Sopiguard brand of skins? They have a clear skin (matte and gloss). I've written them for more information. I really want to remove the WSD from the camera hump but want something replace it.

I've used their skins before. They really are the same prints and materials as brand and slick wraps, but faster shipping and a lot cheaper. I had a bunch of their skins for my Note10+. They held up so well, I never got to 2 of them.
