Can a Matte Screen Protector Hide Existing Scratches?

I have like 3 scratches on my Honor 7X that I can feel with my nails.

Can a Matte Anti Glare Screen Protector make it less visible or will it make it worse?

Thanks

Depends. If it's a thin-film one and the scratches are deep, the protector will just 'sink' into them and you will see them on top, too. It will be reduced, however, and since the protector is matte, it will be visible only under certain light conditions.

If the scratches are very light, since the matte protector does diffuse light a bit, it will hide some of it.

Welcome. :)

It will tend to hide it a little, but for the scratches to be rendered invisible, the protector would have to be applied with a layer of adhesive of the same refractive index as the glass. Something dense like epoxy resin might just do it, but that would hardly be practical. The adhesive used on screen protectors is nothing like dense enough and the scratches will remain visible, though subdued.

Edit: Oops, posted same moment as above.
