can I extend a public wifi?

I live in Panama and I depend on the public "internet para todos" wifi network coming from the public school. My house receives very weak signal and it often disappears inside the house. Signing in to the network can only be manual, accepting the terms of use each time I am connected. Can I use a wifi extender to boost the signal that comes from the school's router?

If you are talking about wifi and not 3g or 4g then any wifi access point should have a repeater option. (amplify signal from a window)
Most over the counter access points can only do one or the other saying they usually can't route and act as a repeater at the same time. Always download the manual and check its capabilities first before you buy.
