can i use 2 different bluetooth headsets at the same time on 2 different devices

my kids have the same kind of tablets - Android Lollipops - and I want to connect them to Bluetooth headphones for riding in the car. So, my question is, if I buy them the same kind of headphones and they are sitting next to each other, how can they connect to only their own tablets and not the other one? Do I need to buy 2 different types of headphones or will the bluetooth sync with each tablet seperately?

When you start, you have to pair the headset with the device, so that's not a problem at all. If they don't mix up their headsets they should be good to go!
