can not change media volume

As the title sudjust I cannot change my media volume. The status shows up when I press the volume rocker but it won't go out of mute state. No matter if I'm in music or playing a game. I have also gone into the settings and change the media volume that way but as soon as I leave it goes back to beeing mutted. Any help would much appreciated

I removed and put back in the SD card and it seemed to have resolved it self
