can pictures be retrieved from dead water damaged galaxy 4s

my dtr and i were flying home from a vac and she put her phone in her bag and applesauce leaked into her phone. it has been 2 months all pics from vac on phone

Welcome to Android Central! Does it turn on at all? Were the photos saved to Internal Storage or a microSD card?
