Is there a way to disable the stock app so that no messages go to it? I use textra but it's messing with my watch and I am getting duplicate messages some from the stock app and some from Textra. (I have textra as my default ap) Thanks in advance

If not, you can disable notifications from it.

Here's what I did. Go into Gear wearable app and go to notifications. Make sure Textra is checked for notifications and Messages is unchecked. Hope that helps.

Yep i have it set that way. What's happening is as soon as i get into lge territory away from my phone the watch starts loading every message i received since last stepping into lge
territory even if they have been deleted from my phone

This is a side affect of how messages and notifications work . It's not the app. For instance since I swap between multiple devices once I swap my sim into another device and power it on it goes crazy with past notifications until it gets current. I just dismiss them all once it's done playing catch up.
