AC Question

Since my Samsung Galaxy s7E updated to android 7.0, I can't find the safety and emergency settings that allows to enable/disable emergency alerts. (In fact the settings menu looks completely different from the universal android settings menu!) Ever since I don't receive severe weather or amber alerts.
Where were the settings moved to? They're not in the message settings, or sounds settings. Google isn't giving me the answer either, it's frustrating.

Settings, Privacy and Emergency, but emergency alerts should be activated by default. You cannot turn amber alerts off. Weather alerts are controlled by your weather app, not emergency settings.

These settings have been moved to the default messaging app. Tap the three dots at the top right when in the messaging app and tap on Emergency alert settings and then Emergency Alerts. You can turn off Amber alerts, Imminent extreme alerts and imminent severe alerts.

Not sure which phone you have, but my S8+ does not have anything close to what you're showing and, as I said above, emergency is under Settings. That was the same on my S7e.

Mine is a S7 Edge. The emergency settings are in the messages app. We are talking about the S7 Edge here. See for yourself in my screen caps. You can even see the edge panel tabs in each screen cap.

Verizon manual for S7e shows Settings, Privacy and Emergency, Emergency. You're correct on Amber alerts, I was thinking Presidential.

I have a T-Mobile S7 Edge on 7.0 and a US Unlocked S7 Edge on 6.0 and there is no Privacy and Emergency under settings.

I have a TMO running stock and its in the messaging app, Settings, Emergency Alert Settings

Emergency alerts on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge:
Settings>Applications>Messages>More Settings>Emergency alert settings>Emergency alerts

I have the S8+ and the settings is in the messaging app. I doont know if it has to do with carrier, but I'm on At&t and I found the emergency setting by going to the messaging app > three dots on top right hand corner > settings > emergency alerts settings > emergency alerts and it would be there
