Can't set up a custom notification for sms

Hi everyone.

I try to set up a custom notificaton for sms.
1. I created media/audio/notifications folder on my SD card and copied an mp3 file I want to set as a notification.
2. I rebooted my phone and opened settings, but my mp3-file hasn't appeared there.

I'm beating my head against the wall Can anyone help me?

Try making a folder called 'Notifications' in the root of the SD card with no parent folders. My custom notification is there and it works. Also, make sure it will take mp3s as notifications, I'm not sure.

Also did it - no result It's interesting that I use a FB application, and it stores notifications at /media/audio/notifications folder (they also have mp3 format). And I can see FB notifications on the "Settings" tab. But I can't see my own mp3 notifications I store in the same folder.

Connect your phone to your computer via USB, them take the file and drop it in the notification folder. It should appear on the phone where you want it once you do that. Mine worked
