For whatever reason the software update application from LG says LS670ZVC is up to date. I have issues with reboots and I want to switch from Reborn to another ROM which requires LS670VCVD.

PLEASE HELP!

You probably have a refurb unit.

If so, read the red warning #1 in the revert link in my signature for an explanation.

You can still flash but will need to force flash it using KP500 instead of the LG Software Updater tool. Instructions to do that are also in the above referenced link.

It actually isn't a refurb, I've had it since December. I do recall at one point having to hack it to prevent updates ages ago when I had ThundeROM could that be interfering even now?

It's possible. I would look at the red warning #1 in my signature anyway. You can type your MEID into the LG software updater checker and see what it responds with. This will tell you if the problem is on your side or your phone isn't registered properly on LG's side.

In any event, you can use KP500 to force flash VD. Just follow the instructions in the refrence section.
