car charger compatability

I have a car charger that came with a HTC EVO 4G that will fit in my Gs5.
Will I damage my s5 if i use it?

Nope, microUSB is an universal standard, so any charger will work as long as it outputs the proper 5V and at least 500mA (probably with the S5 you'll need at least 1A to see significant charging, otherwise it'll be just enough to not lose energy at standby).

500ma will works as well but will take to much time to charge or only energize
