Yeah, no... I'm an idiot. I just looked at my TV he set up. It's micro HDMI to standard HDMI, then that plus into a box directly, then the RCA cables come out of that and into the TV... So that is my set up. Forgive the random posts of crappy information.

What did you do for audio? Are your using an amp for the audio? Or just the built in head unit?

Hey guys,

Thanks for the great response! I never guessed I would make the front page!!

The audio is just pluged into the aux in on the front of the head unit. Nothing special.

I could build a small number of them for the people who are interested. I will have to put together a bill of material to see what it would cost.

I will post more pics later so you can see how it mounted. Not sure the mount will work for everyone.

I call dibbs too! Just let me know what you'd need I have an 06 Chrysler 300 and the local car audio places won't even touch this project. I dont know why cause I've seen a bunch of I pad installs! Let me know what the cost would be to order a kit!

I would love to see how this is all mounted. I thought of doing something similar with the moto dock but lack the resources to make such a nice plate like you have done. I got the padhldr but this is better in that it automatically connects to the charging and audio jacks when docked while not having to mess with wires. In for pics and pricing on one of these.

3800sc have you thought about contacting some of the GP aftermarket manufs?
you might be able to work out a deal with them and make some good money off your invention. Stellar Idea! matter of fact there was a guy on clubgp making flush dash kits for 98-03 gp's. Ill see if i can find the guy if your intrested, he made some decent money off his kits.
