Cases and screen protectors?

I keep looking at cases and can't find anything that tickles my fancy.


I actually do like the case they have with the union jack on it, but....... I go to the dentist and don't eat bangers and mash. In other words, I'm not English....(I kid, I kid.).

I'd like a Spigen Ultra Capsule, but it appears they haven't released anything yet. Preferably in baby blue but periwinkle will do.

The white Otterbox looks really good, but I think it will end up a bit too bulky for my tastes. Might give it a shot, but for now I've got two TPU cases on the way.

So on the 5th I ordered THIS and it arrived here on the 15th. Not bad, 10 days from HongKong.

It is EXACTLY the material I was expecting. I have had many cases like this one and feel (for my use) they are the best protection for my phones.

I have tried many different types including otter box, seidio, body glove, various leather, silicone, hard plastic, etc..and these(TPC) have been the best. The harder plastic cases (otter,seidio,plastic) always seemed to get dirt in them and in turn cause pitting/scratching damage to the finish of my phone. The silicone was always gripping in my pocket causing the case to separate from the phone and sometimes was the cause of a drop. Also if it did drop, the silicone was a bit too stretchy and had more give then I wanted causing the phone to be damaged in a drop anyway. The TPC cases, like the one I linked, have been the Goldilocks(just right) of cases...not too hard or soft...just between the (too) hard plastic and the (too) soft silicone. They grip the phone well enough to avoid most dirt/debris from getting between them and the phone, and if a bit of dirt did get in there, the case is soft enough not to cause damage to the phone.

I have the S case for my ipod, nexus, and and tab 7. It's great on the ipod but the fit is hit or miss and am not using it for the other two. One other thing is that the plastic is a little hard which makes the buttons somewhat difficult to press. Can't really go wrong for $3 though and there are a lot of sellers on ebay selling the same thing. Will probably order one myself because it does look nice.

I think the Samsung branded one with the cutouts for the buttons is the one to get IMO. A little pricey at $20 for what it is but I'm sure it will end up on ebay for much cheaper once it's out. I'm sure the mold has already been copied and will see same or similar ones for a couple of bucks on ebay.

Yes, I am addicted to my phone and yes I do tweet live from the shower sometimes. lol, bring the iPad in there too. I'm crazy though as you can see. Always have been, always will be. I'm okay with it though

think im going with a ultra clear protector and otter box which should protect the rest of the edges on the face. whats the diff between defender and commuter? is it just the defender has a belt clip?

I just ordered the Rearth Ringke Slim Lite ($14 w/free shipping), looks kind of similar to the Rock one that has been mentioned on here, but it is a "soft touch" finish. The dimensions are onthe website and it looks to be very minimal, but provide decent protection. I will know when I receive it... I also ordered the screen protector they have, it looks to be similar to the SGP Ultra/Oleo, and it is oleophopic as well.

The Defender is more heavily built than the Commuter and also has a built-in screen protector. Both are two-part cases with a hard plastic shell and a soft rubber portion. In the Commuter the rubber portion is surrounded by the plastic shell, while it's the other way around with the Defender.

I prefer the Commuter series since it's less bulky and the outer plastic shell makes it easier to get my phone in and out of pockets.

The ROCK case looks awesome but it also looks as though it will afford about ZERO protection if you drop it, totally unlike TPU which is excellent protection in falls.

Polycarbonate case on plastic phone seems useless in a fall....to me anyway.

That case is sexy, but I wouldn't put it on my phone for this reason. I'll stick with TPU.

I came across KaysCase brand on Youtube. They got a couple videos on the TPU cases and Polycarbonate cases. Looks decent.

But I'm interested in the leather cases they produce.

Which one do you think it's better？
