Cases and screen protectors?

Got myself the protective brand case. It's nice. Hard shell. Soft felt cushion material on the inside. Cutouts perfect. All buttons open for easy access . Charger fits. Good protection. I like it except its hard as hell to take off

I've been ordering from them for quite a few years with great luck.

Currently, they have over 1200 cases and accessories for the S III.

Some great prices and free shipping also. Might have to place an order. Found several things I like.

I ordered a bunch. One makes the back of the S III look like an old school Gameboy, a boom box, and a cassette tape. Also ordered an extra battery and a case with a stand.

I also ordered a case that has a wood grain look.

At a couple bucks each, I figured, why not? :)

Does it protect the top and side edges?

If so that's why it's hard to take off.

Usually companies leave the top and bottom open so you dont need a hammer to get them off.

I've ordered stuff the same way - you have to wait 2-4 weeks because they ship it by boat. The companies in Hong Kong have shipping subsidized by China otherwise they wouldn't be able to do it.

I got two s-cases this way, a charging stand, and I just got a s3 display unit to test cases on.

A very low cost low risk way to play around. Most of them you probably won't use (I have a ton of them now).

I found that most are not rubberized - so the plastic is what you feel. Or they are brittle.

Yes it protects the top and the sides. It's 2 pieces. Splits right in the middle. It's hard to take it off because it has this sliding mechanism. Like the battery door to a tv remote. Press/hold and slide down. Seems easy right? Totally not. Barely works. Epic fail. Got it to come off once but I can't get it any more.

That's a new design that the Chinese company must have copied from Samsung.

I went to T-Mobile to play with the stands and the S III and they have a case exactly like that. Except it was very high quality and you could get it off.

If you like the way it works you may want to go to T-Mobile.

I'm going to offer a thin case but it won't protect the top and bottom (it will protect all corners) because it can't be made that way. In order to use two pieces the case has to be thicker and it costs twice as much to make.

I bought the Belkin clear gel case at Best Buy the day I got the phone.

Belkin - Grip Sheer Skin for Samsung Galaxy S III Mobile Phones - F8M398TTC05

I like it - doesn't add too much bulk, gives some protection, still shows off the color. One of my buddies didn't even know it had a case on it when I handed it to him - he thought that was how thick/heavy the phone came. Case also covers the back, keeps the camera glass from resting on anything, and wraps around the edges so that screen can't rest on anything either.

I'm interested in getting a Carbon Fiber case... anyone have any suggestions? I'll read through this thread, but has anyone picked up one of the Cimo Carbon Fiber cases? They look decent, but would like a first hand report.

The reason I didn't go with the transparent TPU is because when the case touches the phone, it creates spots between the back of the phone and the case.

Kind of looks like condensation. I'm trying to better describe what it looks like, but it's challenging. :)

I bought the hybrid S-case with kickstand as a standby before I got my phone.

Being really cheap, I didn't expect much. It'll do "ok" for protection till I settle on something. These are my impressions...

First, the negatives...The micro-usb cutout is off center. The phone will charge off a cable, but it won't seat completely in the port. An exacto knife or razer blade is needed to trim off some material so it'll work right. Secondly, I'm having trouble getting the front lip to seat evenly on the front face of the phone. It works ok, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and it's a little annoying. Also the hinge for the kickstand does stick out a bit, so the phone will never lie completely flat on its back.

On the plus side...The kickstand works well. Sure it's cheap material, but the phone sits fine on it's side and the tpu keeps it from sliding around. It's easy to fold out and snaps securely in place. Just be careful you don't pull it out too far.

The clear back shows the back of the phone well, just like in the picture, but the stand mars the appearance. Not much you can do about that.

Overall pretty good for around $6...cheap case, kickstand, minimal impact protection, but better than the "lite" cases.

[EDIT] After re-installing the case I was able to get the charging port to line up better. It's not perfect, but I can seat the power cable. I've also been able to even out the front lip.

An "HD" protector? Yeah right. They are using screen tech language to sell their protectors.

My line will be out hopefully next week.

WAY better than the above.

Well my wife tried to order me a Seido case and holster combo. Not only was the company web site back ordered so were the other web sites on the web we tried to get it from. Not wanting to be without a case I drove down to the ATT store and bought the Ballistic which is a case and holster combo

I would suggest you return it and buy a cheap TPU case from the web until what you want comes out.

Ballistic usually takes a Chinese model (that I sell also), stamps their name on it, and charges $35. I would never buy a Ballistic for anything more than $15.

How are you liking it?

I'm not allowed to post a link to my company yet. The name is DBA Cases - the URL is easy to figure out.

Nothing is for sale yet. Our Galaxy S III cases will be out in a few weeks.

I may have a screen protector next week for it.

I know the industry very well. Ballistic somehow got a deal with AT&T and Sprint where they have cases in the stores. I've been in the AT&T store with a case that is identical to the Ballistic (I have one you can see on my site for the Galaxy Note that looks exactly like the Ballistic).

All Ballistic does or has done in the past is get these phones anyone can order from China and stamp their name on it. AT&T then sells em for $35 but Ballistic probably only gets a few bucks. That's why I wouldn't buy Ballistic - you can go to ebay and search for Galaxy S III cases and you will probably find the same case for much less. (without the stamp).

There is another company I can't remember now that has hundreds of cases online for sale with their stamp and every single one can be found on ebay as a generic case.

The ones we are making are super high quality original designs.

I like it a lot. It offers a solid feel and good protection on the corners . It doesn't add a lot bulk and makes handling the phone secure in your hand. It would be perfect also for a lady to use without the holster part so she could just carry it in her purse. I think you would be happy with it.
