Cases for the Nexus 6P

For those who ride bicycles, motorcycles, or other vehicles needing a proven connectable case, RokForm has a great product. Motorcycle companies like Indian even offer their cases, and also have specialized holders that integrated nicely to their bikes (other than handlebar holders). Unfortunately, they are not offering a case for the 6P or 5X - obviously waiting for enough market potential to develop one.

Let's make this a proactive thread and let them know there is a market. Visit rokform.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/new
and write - Please produce a case for the Nexus 6P - in the request box,

I just got my 6P a few hours ago and forgot to check the Verus case to see if it blocks the autofocus. The Adopted case looks like a similar cutout, so the revised Verus case should be okay. This phone is sick.

I purchased the standard nexus 6p case when I preordered and I'm really happy with it. Wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about the "felt" on the back but its really nice. Keeps the phone nice and slim too.

Great!! That's the case I ordered, too, and will get tomorrow when my phone gets here. I was wondering with the size of the phone if I was going to regret the case but I figured the material on the back would make it "grippier". I appreciate you sharing!

I received my phone today... and so far I've tried the Verus case, the Adopted TPU and then this REDShield case.

So far, honestly, the REDShield is my favorite. It's pretty basic, but it provides a good grip and has all the proper cutouts. Doesn't interfere with my tempered glass screen protector either. :)

UPS is supposed to deliver my REDShield case today. I'm rather annoyed at UPS right now, after 7 pm and no sign of them yet....

So I got my 6P, but no case, and to top it all off The tempered glass screen protector I bought has a serious design flaw. There is no cut out for the front facing camera, nor for the proximity sensor. I have already contacted the seller on Amazon and awaiting their reply. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. When you check their stock images, the cut outs are there, but my SP only had cutouts for the speakers and nothing else.
Here is the link to the screen protector, so if you've already bought it or are thinking about buying it, BE CAREFUL!

Is that case crystal clear or frost? Also, how's the cut out for the camera?

Verus is a such an awesome company. I actually bought the case from one of the members on another forum as he was going to get a Note 5 instead and not directly from them. When I noticed that my case will have the USB cable port snag issue, I emailed them and asked if they could help me out in any way, although I was not their direct customer. Their response was:

It's a rare occasion that we usually don't work with. However, I'd be more than happy to send out a replacement bumper frame as soon as it arrives.

Could you send us your address info? In return, only thing I would ask as a favor would be to become our awesome supporters in your comfortable forums.

That'd be super nice :)

Thanks!

I asked them to take their time in getting the revised frame perfect, because I have found an easy solution in the meanwhile for the issue of the slightly smaller than necessary port opening. I measured and realized the issue was at the top and bottom of the bumper, so I took a nail file, and filed down the plastic along the top and bottom edges of the port cover on the inside. I don't have the official cables from Google yet, but both my third party cables now go in and out of the hole very smoothly and I would be able to charge the phone with the case on, without the plug cover snagging on the bumper. Other than the inside of the port opening being white along the edges, which you have to really look for to see, there should be no issue, and my phone will be protected until the official fix is out.IMG_20151028_212532.jpgIMG_20151028_212616.jpgIMG_20151028_212642.jpgIMG_20151028_212648.jpgIMG_20151028_212700.jpg

So looking at the Nexus 6p "teardown" on the AC homepage, I noticed the image for the back/top camera area below.
What are the two round circles on the far middle/right side of the camera lens that I circled in green?
I don't see hardly any cases (outside of clear ones) that have "openings" to expose these? Maybe no big deal, just wondered.... thanks!

Anyone who has received either the Ringke FUSION or the Spigen Ultra Hybrid, can you tell me if the back rectangle sticks out or pushes in? The photos don't make it clear to me.

I was curious about the sides of the official Nexus 6P case; in pics/videos the case seems to have rubberized sides (as opposed to tpu or matte)... rubberized material makes cases harder to take in and out of pockets. Does the case have rubberized/silicone sides?

Assuming you are talking about this case, the description says it is TPU.

Now that I have this case, I have to say I really like it. I expected it to be frosted, like most clear TPU cases are, but was happy to see it is completely clear (though I could do without the glossy finish). I'm interested to see how it looks once it is covering the phone.

I am waiting for a Frost Nexus 6P, but while waiting I thought I might use the collected thoughts of this thread.

I am looking for a hard case that will secure the phone fairly well similar to an otterbox. I use the case to put a quad lock adapter on for when I ride my bike or the car mount. I appreciate any feedback you might give as to the best case I might use. Thank you for your help.

I'd like to know this as well.

I just received the adopted case but I don't have the 6p or screen protector yet but I'm thinking the screen lip looks big. Might be big enough to interfere with a tempered glass screen protector? Thoughts?

So I'm gonna order my case from Google so I know they'll work perfectly with the phone, and I'll possibly buy another one down the road once more companies begin to accommodate, but I'm torn between the $20 ADOPTED case and the $35 nexus case. Suggestions guys!
