Cases for the Nexus 6P

Are there any cases that people know of that do not interfere with the laser auto focus or the mic in the back?

I'm surprised that the ones that Google sells doesn't have the cutouts.

I doubt Google would sell cases from its store that compromise its own product, so if you buy from there you're probably alright.

Does anyone have solid feedback on the Adopted case? Really debating if this one is going to be a good one or not. Never heard of this brand before, so I have no experience to go by.

I got the frosted one. It fits OK, but it really looks ugly on my Aluminum 6P. I ordered a clear gel case on Amazon. Won't be in stock until the 5th.

I got my Ringke Fusion clear case and screen protector today. Case looks good, just waiting on phone to arrive soon.

BTW, anyone that has a front screen protector know if this one is ok/has the right cutouts? I see Ringke has the front camera circle, top speaker and bottom speaker cutouts... Guess there's no need for a notification led light cutout?

I just saw a Tech21 case for the Apple Iphone. I checked them out online and they only make cases for the Iphone and Samsungs. Does anyone know if there are any similar cases for the Nexus 6P. They are a great looking case providing great protection and very slim.

Thanks for your feedback.

I'm looking for the best maximum protection type case. Is Otterbox making a Defender case for the 6P?

Nope, OtterBox is out, as is Ballistic, Trident, Griffin, etc. Your best bet is the Unicorn Beetle Pro from Supcase, or the Poetic Revolution. I bought the Unicorn Beetle off Amazon, and the Revolution will be out in November.

Well it looks like Spigen added a new case to their website for pre-order. It's the slim fit case that I mentioned I was hoping for earlier. Link and picture below. It's not available until 11/20 though. I've had this case on previous phones and it is hands down the best thin case I have ever owned. You won't be sorry with this purchase. It's worth the wait and for $14.99 and free shipping it's one hell of a deal!

All of the clear cases I've seen just ended up getting filled with dust. Dunno, maybe ceaning it like once a week would help...
I've ordered the 6P and paid a fortune for it, so I'm more inclined to get something that actually protects it.
I'm a purist, but given my track record with smashing my phones- something that's thin and protects it from more than scratches would be a holy grail for me.

What we need is the rhino crash guard plus a skin or back protector. But they say the former won't be released till at least December. Very disappointing.

Why is this case so good? It looks too thin to protect the phone from drops.

Has anyone got any thoughts on the Spigen rugged armor case? Does it have a lip around the front to protect the screen? How similar is it to the slim armor which has that plastic back?

I just ordered a black one from Amazon for $12.99 no tax and free shipping. Expected delivery 11/12-16. It looks pretty good and it's made by a well respected company. Check the Spigen website for more information and pictures.

I have the rugged armor for the S6. Very well made, buttons and cut outs are all in proper locations. One complaint, its very slippery. The back is not texture and slides out of my hands most if the time. I will not buy again.

I ordered that and I'll let you know how it looks when I receive it (supposedly takes 24 days or so to arrive from Germany once ordered). Reviews say it's almost too tightly made so getting the phone in or out can be difficult if you're in a hurry. Honestly, I'm really looking forward to the minimalist leather covers from tetded.

I still have the fitBag sleeve in beat black (fine nappa leather) I bought for my iPhone 6 Plus (which I sold after roughly 6 months). The leather is very soft and almost feels too thin to be durable. To be honest, I didn't use it often so I can't really comment on how it'll hold up over time. The microfiber is nice, helps keep the phone relatively clean from the moment you pull it out. The sleeve is designed to be a tight fit so that your phone will not accidentally slip out if you held it the wrong way. One thing for sure, it takes a little more effort to pull out the phone than I liked. Overall, the quality is pretty good if you prefer to have a leather sleeve. They do offer it in suede, Alcantara, and various fabric finishes as well.

Rhinoshield have also released a new case for iPhones which I hope they will make for the Nexus line: it's called the Playproof. For me it looks like the perfect case: huge protection, minimal bulk, possibility of an array of colours.

I hope it can come out at the same time as their crash guard bumper.

I bought the $35 case off Google Store in graphite and I love it. Fits nice and snug around the phone and the microfiber backing gives it an excellent grip. Definitely recommend it. Worth the $ IMO
