Casting from an MacBook Air puts vertical lines on the screen through Chromecast

So I was lucky enough to get a Chromecast yesterday and rushed home to plug it in. Netflix and Youtube both work perfectly, but when I try to cast a webpage from my MacBook, i can barely read the writing because there are vertical lines through the screen. I called Google and they didn't have an answer nor do they have a workaround. Anyone else have this happen to them and what should I do?? Thanks.

I am seeing the same thing from my Macbook Pro Air. I just opened up the box. Anything I cast from the Samsung Google Edition S4 displays fine.

I dont have that issue with my 2010 MBA. Try uninstalling Chrome then reinstall?
