Cell phones @ Target?

To those who've bought from target.com, how was the activation process? It says to not call verizon. Should be waiting for me when I get home!

It was easy, turned the phone on and dialed the number on the sheet provided. Took all of 3 minutes.

Gaaahh!!! I cant wait!!

one thing will add, I got my phone about a week or two ago and it did not come with gingerbread. right after activating the first thing I did was check for updates in the settings menu and downloaded and it installed it. It did take forever to download and install. believe 20 minutes I would recommend doing the gingerbread update first before installing anything else.

good luck hope the phones waiting for you

its here it got it! but on the recipt it says at the bottom... 2 gig data plan for $30/mo then under that it says "keep existing data feature" which i checked when i ordered it... i DID NOT check the 2 gig box. what is this nonsense?

i havent activated it yet because im kinda freaked i might have just gotten screwed out of unlimited data.

you think i'd be ok calling 611?

I would check the original receipt you received on email from Target and see if the 2GB plan is there or not. I think I would start with VZW and find out what's set up in their system. VZW may be able to fix it, or they may have to send you back to Target.com mobile to have their agent correct the order. I would definitely get it straightened out before activating.

My email receipt does not list the 2GB plan, just "keep existing data feature". I will be sure to check my in-box receipt when it arrives tomorrow.

Called b4 I activated it. They said it would keep unlimited data. After activating My Verizon says unlimited unlimited so I think I'm good. Touch screen typing gonna take getting used to

It's HERE!!! On the charger now. Does anyone really let it charge overnight before turning it on and activating it?

FWIW -- my package receipt says nothing about the 2GB plan. Just "Keep Existing Data Feature".

My first annoyance is the screen plastic has "remove before using" stamped on it. I fully intended to leave the plastic on for a few days to make sure I was going to keep it before investing in InvisibleShield for it. I also was a bit surprised they just left it on the front porch. When we ordered from VZW directly, somebody had to take it. I think same with Amazon. Even without theft, it's hotter than hades out there!

Today was my first full day with it. Set need to invest in a cover and a screen protector. What are some must have apps?
So weird now that its real. Still scared that I don't have unlimited. 611 was busy so I didn't get to ask. Woot

Oh yea I charged it for like 45 mins. 4-6 hours is usually good for a full. Charge but the paperwork said 24 hrs. That will blow up your battery!

I figured I was saving big on the phone, so I overpaid for the basic hard protective case that Target offered when I ordered it. Nothing special -- typical snap-together hard case. I do really like the color though. :) But I figured it's better than nothing while I figure out what kind of case I want. I'm not particularly hard on my phones -- I've never used a case at all before and never caused mortal damage. I've been looking at the Incipio Silicrylic and Seidio Active, but I'm worried they will seem bulky. I'm not sure if the Incipio Feather or Seidio Surface are any better than what I have or any better than the cheap rubberized cases on Amazon?

For the screen, I just left the factory screen cover on and I am just working around the "Remove before using" stamp. I'll take it to get invisible shield over the weekend, but I didn't want it to get scratched up before then.

I logged in to my account on VZW and it showed the new equipment and unlimited data, so I think I'm good there.
