Change carrier galaxy s7

[Android Central Question]

So my gfs s7 is verizon and not active because of an unpaid balance on the verizon bill. I heard you cant use it for straight talk beacuse of the verizon balance. Is there anyway to jailbreak the phone safely to unlock it for other carriers?
