Change Software Version (country spec) on LG G4

Hey,

I live in Europe (Germany) and I got an LG G4 from Taiwan.

I changed system language to German. After that I wanted to update the firmware with the official LGMobile Support Tool but the tool said there are no updates available for my phone. I went on and downloaded LG Bridge and performed an update, it was just an Android update though (from 5.1 to 6.0). What I really want is to change the Software Version as shown in this screenshot:

It says V20b-TWN-XX, I want V20b-EUR-XX. How do I do that? And does it really make a difference? A friend and a sales person from the store where I got the phone said I can change the "country spec", I don't even really know what this is supposed to be.

In the hardware information screen it says my model is "LG-H815"
LGMobile Support Tool reported before the 6.0 Marshmallow update my version was H81510C, after the update it says H81520B (or H81520A, not entirely sure as I cannot check right now, but it must be 20B)

my phone is unbranded and not from a specific carrier, if that helps.

You can do it with lgup. You can download the firmware you went and Flash it with lgup

If I have v10f-twn-xx and I do a rootb that is for v10c would that hurt/brick the phone, both are h815

Hello friend,

I'm facing the same issue. I have the Canadian LG G4 H812 and want to flash the International Version (LG G4 H815) rom. Both devices are identical in hardware, ie. same CPU, GPU, RAM, chipset, instruction set, etc, but yet the model numbers LG assigns them are different.

Would it be safe to flash it?

Thanks:)
