Change the template for popup S-Note?

I absolutely love the double-tap-the-pen-to-popup-S-Note feature on the GN2, and use it all the time. However, it always uses the Memo template, and I'd like to have it use the Note template instead. Is there any way to change this?

I don't think you can in 'stock mode' (as in non-rooted). But I guess that there could be a hack for rooted phones (and if there's not, it sure would be a nice one).

Not excact solution, but if you get S-Pen helper, you can choose any app to open up when pen is removed and there are other note apps you might like as well that you can use.

Thanks for the tip. I tried it a couple of days ago, after seeing a reference in another thread, and unfortunately, it's a bit too aggressive about opening the other note app. What I'd like is to have it open a note app when I pull the pen out *sometimes*, but not always, where "sometimes" is a bit fuzzy. One case where I'm sure I don't want it to happen is when I've got the keyboard up - in that case I want to switch the keyboard to handwriting mode.

Actually, maybe what I want is to have it only open the note app of choice if I'm on my home screen; in any other case, I'm already in an app and am therefore pulling out the pen to use in the app. Hmmm, maybe there's an enhancement request to the S-Pen helper developer ...

By the way, that other thread also pointed me at Write, which doesn't do handwriting-to-text, but has some really nice features.
