Changes since new update

Tried it with GPS on, it still thinks I'm an hour away from where I am. Though, 4G lock on is much better.

Downloaded the update a few hours ago, but haven't played around with anything to know if anything is working better. I noticed when my phone revolted after the install, though, it picked up my 4G data connection in seconds. Usually it'd take a couple minutes to catch the data signal. No idea if that was because of the update or not, though.

GPS locks right in,audio for video recording much better and 4g/3g signal huge improvement. I'm currently in the middle of the Lincoln Tunnel on a bus and have 3g in the past I would have no signal.

I updated and the only thing I can see different/improved is that my mobile network stays connected (which is a big plus for me since my TB was defective in this regard). I no longer have to connect/re-connect.

I have not noticed anything with the video audio record quality like someone else has mentioned on this thread. I also did not see anything mentioning this to be included in this OTA-release notes, so I was not expecting it to have been improved (although that users comment gave me a glimor of hope for a second). We will have to wait some more I suppose, to get the TB to work as it was made to work.

I downloaded it and it restarted but my GPS and everything still blows!!

4G signal is staying locked, no stutter between 3G-4G-1X like I'd always get.
GPS is better. Was just off by 10 feet for me.

Battery life seems better since it does not have to keep switching between no signal-1x-3G-4G

I doubt it wouldn't install if you did download and it rebooted, but you can always try checking your build and baseband #'s and compare them to the verizon tbolt support page to make sure they match

I have tested the GPS lock and it was very fast. Maybe 5-10 seconds. This was from inside my office 3rd floor of a 7 floor building. Previously would not lock at this location.

Not seeing any difference . to me Gps in the maps showing my positon as way off worse than before I updates also position on the weather off. Looks like a waste of time for me.

Took before and after camcorder videos here at work, with Pandora playing on the computer in the background. Definite improvement in the audio recorded after the update. Still not great, though, but at least better than before.

Device just shut off. Didn't reboot, stayed off. Hope this isn't because of the update.

So it sounds like this update also improves 4g signal as well not just 3g right? Because I am in a pretty good 4g area but would drop to 3g or lose 4g from time to time. Haven't tested it because I been at home connected to WiFi but I hope it helps

For those not seeing an improvement in the GPS, be sure the clear the cache.

camcorder has in fact improved for me.
took a video testing the quality from different distances.

haven't tested GPS.

actually, i HAVE had trouble with LTE now--in an area where i would have previously gotten solid signal.
while attempting to download a file from XDA/megaupload, i now have to kickstart the frozen download by opening up another webpage just to get data flowing so the download would be un-paused & actually download something.

is anyone going to wipe their phone, as suggested after installing any OTA, to ensure a proper clean phone to remedy any potential problems?

The update actually wiped my phone to factory so I don't see why you'd have to do it again

I would personally recommend doanloading GPS Status and Toolbox (Free Version) from the market. Once in the app, tap menu -> Tools -> Manage A-GPS State -> Reset then Download.

So, the only change I've noticed so far is that my phone has restarted itself 3 times after I installed this morning. These are 3 additional rebooted not associated with the install. Anyone else having this going on? My phone has only ever randomly restarted once before today
