Charging cables and adapters

This is possibly a stupid question, but other than the charging time being lengthened, are there any negatives to using a non-Dash cable/adapter to charge the 5T? Any recommended alternatives? I travel enough that I'd like to have extras in backpacks and cars rather than packing things up all the time.

That's about the only problem - the charge time. But you can buy Dash charge cables - see https://www.amazon.com/OnePlus-Cabl...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6088011 (Or you can spend $10 fot a pack of 10 type-C cables.)
