charging indicator staying on

Can't figure this out. The battery indicator stays on even after taking the phone of the charger. Installed bad ass battery app and still nothing. Need to pull battery make it go away. Killed every app ad service possible. Thesis a rooted phone. Having stay awake issue and is BugMailer an ICS app.
